Rachel Boyden Reflexology

~ Deeply relax body and mind with reflexology

Reflexologist for Cuckfield, Haywards Heath, Balcombe, Staplefield and other nearby towns and villages.

Welcome to Rachel Boyden Reflexology!

I am a fully qualified Reflexologist, with a VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology and I have full membership with the Association of Reflexologists.

I work from my calm and tranquil garden cabin from home. My house is situated in a peaceful close in Cuckfield with lots of parking available. It is a 15 minute walk into the centre of Cuckfield village.

I am based at The Beale Clinic in Horsted Keynes, on Thursdays.

As well as ‘general’ reflexology treatments, I offer specialist reflexology treatments in Maternity, Fertility and Lymph Drainage. All treatments are tailored to your specific health concerns and current goals. I believe that true health and well-being comes from caring for the whole person: mind, body and emotions. I work in a holistic way, looking at your mindset and lifestyle and how these may be effecting your health and well-being.

What to expect

Your very first appointment will be longer, as we will fill in a consultation form together and where I take time to understand your lifestyle and needs. All treatments thereafter, begin with a chat about how things are going and if you’ve had any changes since your last treatment. All treatments are tailored to support your individual needs. Treatments take place in a reclining chair, with a head pillow, pillows under your feet, and an optional bolster under your knees for extra comfort and support.

Many clients fall asleep during the treatment, whilst others say they feel they are in a trance-like, floaty state.

Remember, I can’t diagnose or cure conditions. All I can do is detect areas in the feet, which might feel out of balance. They might feel, hard, crunchy, soft and spongy.  By working an area, I am helping the disturbance in the area, to rebalance, not to fix it.

The main benefits of having reflexology treatments include:

  • Aids relaxation

  • Improves mood

  • Releases tension

  • Helps sleep

  • Promotes a sense of wellbeing.

My clients always tell me that they feel more relaxed after a treatment. We lead such busy lives, so we must not underestimate the importance of finding time to turn off our stress response and allow our mind and body some time to relax. As a complementary therapy, reflexology offers a gentle yet effective way to ease tension, calm the mind, and restore balance to the body. Because reflexology works on the nervous system, it’s uniquely suited to counteract stress-induced changes (see my section on ‘Reflexology for Stress Relief’).

What my clients say: 'When everything seems busy and always hurried, take an hour out and enjoy a reflexology session delivered by Rachel. You will feel better for it. ~ Neil

What is reflexology?

Reflexology is a safe, natural complementary therapy. It involves the technique of massage and applying gentle pressure on the feet or hands, to bring about a deep state of relaxation and to stimulate the body’s own healing processes. It is based on the theory that different reflex points on the feet and hands, correspond to different areas of the body.
